Muchísimas gracias Latino Business Student Association at California State University, Fullerton and California State University, Fullerton for having me as part of the Journey to Resilience panel for the 2024 Leadership Conference! I absolutely ADORE being in the company of young Latinos who have such passion and desire to excel in their careers, education and leadership. Despite being there to share wisdom and experience, I think iiiiii am the one who benefits the most from just being in their presence. And thank you Sridhar Sundaram, Brenda Godinez, MBA, Evelyn Gonzalez, MS RDN and Aldair Jimenez, MPA for sharing in this experience with me. Y Amber Perez, Lizbeth Robles, Aslin Osmara Paxtor & Jonathan Romero, y’all are amazing, inspiring and incredible humans ❤️

For anyone looking to brand, rebrand, story tell, marketing, or more for their nonprofit/small business/political campaign, etc, I HAVE to recommend with the highest regard, Merea Price and her team at Legible. She and her team are the most genuine, authentic, bright and progressive team I have ever worked with. I never felt like they were gaming me, giving a schtick, or BS’ing. They were 100% legit at being dreamers, thinkers, coaches and creatives— and as they say it, they do good work for people who do good work! Congratulations Merea, I think you are INCREDIBLE and incredibly gifted in what you do! For more information: www.legible.org

Thank you OC Hispanic Youth Chamber of Commerce for allowing me to be a part of your Women in Power campaign for Women’s History Month. I was asked about how a healthy lifestyle has positively impacted me and there was so much to say on this topic. As a Latina, our health is often not on the forefront of our minds—in fact, culturally, we are natural caretakers of others, but at the sacrifice of ourselves. 2 months ago I had to have a non-elective major surgery for health reasons and that whole process brought into sharp focus how much I have taken my health for granted. How much I didn’t speak up when I felt something was wrong. How much I just said “I’m fine, I’m fine, everything’s fine. I’ll deal with it tomorrow.” Whether it’s physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually, I strongly encourage women to take the time to make that doctors appointment, start exercising or moving your body, talk about the things that weigh heavy in your heart, find a higher being to guide you…. these are things you can control and should. To my fellow Latinas, the world needs us as leaders, educators, entrepreneurs, politicians, business owners, and so much more! With all the barriers that hold us back, try not to let health be one of them ❤️

Can you imagine putting 37 educated, experienced, strong and vocal LATINAS in one room? Well, that’s what’s been done! In January 2024, I was accepted as part of the new cohort with the Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE) . This is a statewide leadership program aimed at training professional Latinas in vital leadership and advocacy skills, political campaigning and civic engagement. Wow, this is gonna be fun!!

Happy to share that I'll be presenting a workshop at ALPFA OC's Annual Leadership Summit! My topic: "Optimize Interview Panels for Success”. I wrote my dissertation about this very topic and I’m SO passionate about it and it’s legitimacy—not only for the hiring process, but the impacts it has on organizational culture.

I have never had the courage to “tell my story”— my upbringing and the lived experiences of my childhood, teen and young adult years. And not because I’m embarrassed per se, but because it’s #justlife. What makes MY life special? Well, nothing really…but it IS mine and it is the sum of who I am today. It’s the catalyst for my work as a domestic violence advocate, a mentor to youth, and a foundation for the simple gratitude I have for the life I am blessed to live. It’s the foundation for my life’s philosophy of striving to “be the light” to others. So here is a glimpse of what makes me, ME— putting my humble life on the stage for the world to see. Thank you San Bernardino County and C.L. Lopez, MA for the opportunity to be the center of your “passion project” and I HOPE it brings some inspiration to others ❤️ #opportunity #thankyou #gratitude

I am very much looking forward to being one of the guest speakers at the County of Riverside Women’s Leadership Conference hosted by the Corona Chamber of Commerce (Official) on September 30, 2021! I will speaking on the word #RESILIENCE. We all have our own personal story—of tragedy, adversity, or defeating threats we thought would break us, but man, it’s such a beautiful thing when we can learn how not become a victim to our circ*mstances but be BETTER from it! The key ingredient? #RESILIENCE. Come hang with me and the group of beautiful inspirational ladies I get to share the stage with by registering here: https://lnkd.in/gmPSvBPE. Or, if you need more information, please visit www.MyChamber.org/WLC.All are welcome, not just women!
